Online Pet Remembrance Submissions

Recognizing the need to memorialize our lost pets, The Ellsworth American & Mount Desert Islander are offering "Our Pets Remembered." This will appear on the last Thursday of each month, giving pet lovers the opportunity to share their feelings about their recently deceased pets. Just call us at (207) 610-2576, or stop by our office downtown in Ellsworth at 1 Printing House Square, or you can submit an obituary using the form below. Remebrances submitted to either, or both, newspapers will in print and online.

Pricing & Options

We will provide an exact price once you send us the copy.

Obituarties are priced as follows:

$10 per newspaper column inch and $30 per 2″ photo (for EA OR the Islander)
$15 per newspaper column inch and $40 per 2″ photo (both papers)
$20 for an additional 2″ photo in a single publication, or $35 for an additional 2″ photo in both papers
$15 for your remembrance to be featured online at ellsworthamerican.com and/or mdislander.com (online only available with an in-paper submission)

A line is the width og a column as it appears in the newspaper, not how it appears on your computer screen. Once we receive your submission, we will will contact you with the price before publishing the obituary.
